a whole generation of young people cleverly replacing all previous archaic literary devices with quotation marks.“groovy.” but seriously, you have a point. interestingly enough, said young generation would probably admit to that.
It’s exhausting and it makes me feel bad/sad! Like the writer is actually an actor, and if I don’t follow along with his play he’ll start crying and apologizing. Esp. when so many pieces are thready improvisations on post-or-pre-graduate boredom and anxiety.
